One of the sweetest and most fascinating parts of watching Molly grow up is experiencing her language development. While Dave and I chip away at Hindi and struggle with the most basic of sentences, Molly rattles off long compound sentences full of all kinds of descriptive words. She's just starting to use "because" and "but" and she doesn't always use them correctly, but her words get the job done. Here are a couple of phrases she's used lately...
"That can be wanged" = That can be arranged. (where has she heard that?)
"I give you!" = I forgive you
"That hat too big for you" = You're too big to fit in that hat. (she's got some work to do on grammar and placing her objects and subjects in the right spot!)
"Hocus Focus" = Hocus Pocus (We do some magic tricks in the bath tub...)
"Pwesto Change-o" = said while she's running around the house with her lint roller magic wand
"Hiphithorray"= Hip, Hip Hooray!
"Just you and me, kid?" = said to Dave when she was just waking up from her nap and she knew mommy was out at a meeting.
