You're my brother, you're my friend. You're my cousins!

WooHoo! The last couple of weeks have been a ton of fun... the highlight was our visit with the LA Bovens over last weekend and parts of this week. They made a trip out to Chicagoland just in time for some snow. Molly adores her cousins and her good friend Logan too. This week, she rotated between calling them cousins, friends, brothers and husbands. We're blessed to have a wonderful family, whoever they are!

We've been excited about aprons and cooking! Molly is getting to be a pro at her signature dish- fruit salad.

What do you do on cold, short winter days? Build a cardboard castle!

Finally some flakes! This week we got the snow we were hoping for all winter and Jimmy and Annie got a good taste of Midwest winters.

YUM! Molly has found a new love for American cheese.

Me and my rockin Super Bowl party! At this point, everyone was more interested in pizza. I found some peace and quiet with the commercials.

We all made it back to watch some Beyonce during half-time... it was nice for the kids to learn some new dance moves! Yeah right... these dutch kids will never keep rhythm or shake their hips quite like that!

It's an Annie sandwich on Molly and Jimmy bread.

California Cuties!

Mike, Jimmy, Molly and I braved the cold and snow long enough to dig some sweet tunnels in the neighboring church parking lot. We let Mike do most of the work!

Snow angels! Jimmy sported as much fireman gear as he could that day. Notice the fireman rainboots instead of snowboots and the fireman jacket over the winter coat.

Retro! Molly is modelling some much loved corduroy overalls that were mine, back in the day.

We sometimes let Jayden in on dress-up fun. He makes a great Davy Crockett!

Time to spin!

Nana struck gold when she found some of Dave's old toys in the basement. The Legos and Ninja Turtles were a big hit!

Annie loves to run wild in just a diaper... but she does know how to accessorize. She's a big boots fan- I think this was the third pair she had on that day.

Singing for their supper... or breakfast!

Soapy cousins! These pictures will come in handy when they're all shy and embarrassed teenagers!

Jimmy is a big Peter Pan fan right now. We spent a sufficient amount of time watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates and some Disney sing-a-longs.

Tickle time with Auntie Beth and Logan!

Sweet times - snuggling up with a good story.

  1. Hello there, Bovens! Just took a few minutes to enjoy catching up a bit on your blog. Thanks for the photos and little stories of happenings at your house. We miss you and it's fun to see how Molly is growing and to hear what you're up to lately. Take care - Joie
