And We're Back!

Back by popular demand....

Sorry for the long absence, friends and family! I'm determined to make blogging part of the weekly routine again and to hopefully work backwards a bit to document our early months with Greta. So check back often! And hold me to this effort to blog!

Here are some highlights from this regular old week in the life of the Bovens...

This week started off with a visit to the farm - Greta enjoyed a great snooze with Grammy!

Greta broke in Grammy and Bompy's new high chair with some good blueberry and peach stains.

10 months! We celebrated with apple pie for our big girl. Notice the "10" - knife 1 and pie 0... We're proud of our growing Greta!

We started ballet class with Amina this week. So far Molly's learning to point her toes and do stretches. I think dressing up for class is just as fun as the actual instruction!

We all went out for some Top Notch burgers and shakes after ballet!

We're trying our hand at squeezing some grapes to make our homemade grape jelly. So far, we just froze the juice... stay tuned for some jars of jelly sometime this week!
Greta "the lap sitter" Boven makes juicing a little tricky.

Molly snacks on grape skins... I think this is the face of the new Welch's girl!

Saturday we hit up the Dutch fest for some ethnic fun! Sinterklaas filled Molly's pockets with some traditional dutch candy. Greta looks like she's questioning the authenticity of that beard.

Dave and Molly at the petting zoo. They look like they're playing "London Bridge" with this lamb!
Fishing on those scenic Dutch canals!

Leaf collecting and testing out possible Halloween costumes. Check out that bike- a recent garage sale acquisition! Molly and I had a nice ride this afternoon.

Surprise! It's just Molly.

Our big standing, walking, stair climbing Greta!
Molly's favorite chore is schlepping leftovers and dirty dishes from the dining room back to the kitchen after dinner. She likes to impress Dave with how many things she can carry... this photo is right before she dropped all her containers!
