After a busy back to school week, we set off on a mini adventure with the Pullman CRC crew. Often, our friends go camping over Labor Day weekend and this was the first time that it has worked well for us to go along. Our destination was Boscobel, Wisconsin, where there's a cabin owned by a very generous couple from church. Since we had Friday off we left early, successfully avoiding the traffic rush, and hit some fun spots along the way. Highlights on the way up included the "trollway"- a wooden troll lined street, Cave of the Mounds, getting a bit lost in Wisconsin farmland, and stopping for some good Wisconsin ice cream. We met up with the Breems, Heyboer, and Moes families and had a blast. With a well equipped cabin and lots of creature comforts for the kids, it maybe wasn't the most rustic experience, but it was really nice to have a kitchen to cook in and a potty to flush. This was Molly's first official tent camping experience... she slept on the ground like a pro, while her parents enjoyed a cushy air mattress! The highlight of the way home... Molly was awake for only 15 minutes of the 4 1/2 hour trip!

| Ahh... Wisconsin! It's no Michigan, but we have learned to really appreciate the beauty (and the cheese curds!) of this state. |
| (Almost) Kicking stalagmites in the Cave of the Mounds! |
| Luckily, this spot was as tight as it got. On the way, our guide told a few parents that they may need to detach their babies from the carriers that they were in so that they could squeeze through. I was just a bit worried... the one in my belly is not yet detachable! |
| The cave was a COOL place to be. 50 degrees on a 95 degree day is pretty fantastic! |
| Check out all those stalagmites and stalactites! We learned the difference between soda straws, cave bacon and cave kisses... let us know when you need a tour! |
| More time to cool off with some Blue Moon and Mint Mackinac Island Fudge! |
| Good sleep in the tent. |
| Feeling ready to face the day! |
| Cool moves on the trampoline... Molly didn't quite make this shot... she was usually holding a hand and jumping very carefully along the edge. The cabin is in the background. |
| Budding geologists! |
| Checking out the creek! |
| We got even closer to the water with a great creek walk with the kids. |
| Our adventurous group of creek walkers! |
| Some hardcore badminton... does that phrase go together? Hardcore? Badminton? |
| All the kiddies (minus one baby) dining together. |
| Enjoying some Italian hobo pies... a little unorthodox, but very tasty! |
| Time for s'mores! Or uncooked marshmallows and graham crackers if you are Molly! |
