It's Not on My Shirt

So Molly has something called an umbilical hernia. Thankfully, this is not a serious medical condition but only a cosmetic anomaly. Much of the time Molly's belly button (or umbilicus, to be more precise) is fairly normal looking. Whenever she cries or works something through her digestive track with some force, a bit of her gut gets pushed through the hole that has not quite closed up.

It looks like a severe outie belly button and the doctor said its fairly common. Apparently it should close up on its own without any intervention on our part. If it doesn't work out, though, we're thinking of having a belly zipper put in instead.
